Putin to Be Invited to the Opening of the Memorial for Fallen Pilots in Armenia
The International Humanitarian Foundation “Mir” is planning to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to Armenia for the opening of a memorial at the site of the Mi-24 helicopter crash during a live broadcast. This was reported by the Wargonzo project.
Two Russian pilots were killed on November 9 near Yerebuni as a result of an Azerbaijani anti-aircraft strike, coinciding with the day the agreement between Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan was signed. One crew member survived the incident.
All three pilots were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage by the President.
