Calling Murderers 'Prisoners of War' is a Disgrace to the Memory of the Killed Armenian Child and Man
The use of the term 'prisoners of war' for the murderers arrested in Karvachar is a disgrace to the memory of the Armenian child and man they killed. This statement was made by constitutional expert Gohar Meloyan on her Facebook page.
"The Azerbaijanis Dilham Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev, who abducted and mutilated a minor Armenian child and killed an Armenian man not acting as a soldier in June 2014, and caused gunshot wounds to an Armenian woman, cannot be considered prisoners of war based on any international document! They are murderers who have committed particularly grave crimes on the basis of national affiliation, and the legal process and grounds for their extradition today should be subject to detailed scrutiny.
The application of the term 'prisoners of war' to these murderers is a disgrace to the memory of the Armenian child and man they killed. I ask media outlets not to present these individuals in any way as prisoners of war. Similarly, Ramil Safarov, who beheaded a sleeping Armenian officer, could also be considered a prisoner of war.
As for the supreme traitor, let him continue to label the Armenian nation expressing justified outrage while leaving Aliyev’s insults unanswered and fulfilling the demands of that liar,” she wrote.
