Russian Peacekeepers Clear Over 150 Hectares in Nagorno-Karabakh, Dispose of 4760 Explosive Objects
In Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian peacekeepers have cleared more than 150 hectares of land, identifying and disposing of 4760 explosive objects, according to information on the Russian Ministry of Defense website.
“Overall, in Nagorno-Karabakh, engineering units have cleared over 150 hectares of land, 32 kilometers of roads, and 168 residential buildings, discovering and neutralizing 4760 explosive items,” the statement reads.
In the last day, demining work has been carried out in the vicinity of the Stepanakert airport, on private properties, and near electrical supply hubs. Additionally, a multi-functional robotic complex called “Uran-6” was employed to clear one of the areas of the city’s airport, enhancing crew safety and increasing work productivity.
It is emphasized that the identified explosive objects are neutralized.
“Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe return of citizens to their permanent residences, provide humanitarian assistance, and restore civilian and engineering infrastructure. With the support of Russian peacekeepers, the restoration of vital engineering communication continues in areas affected by military operations. During the day, two outposts have been restored, along with 1 kilometer of power transmission lines and a 1.2-kilometer segment of a gas pipeline in the Lisogor settlement area,” the announcement added.
