Call to the Command of the Armed Forces of Armenia and Artsakh to Collaborate with Russian Peacekeepers and Make Necessary Decisions - Vazgen Manukyan
Call to the Command of the Armed Forces of Armenia and Artsakh to collaborate with Russian peacekeepers and make necessary decisions.
This statement was made by Vazgen Manukyan, the united candidate for Prime Minister of the "Homeland Salvation Movement":
“We highly appreciate the implementation of the mission of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh, but in any country, peacekeeping forces alone cannot ensure the full protection and security of borders and the population without the local armed forces. This is evidenced by the troubling developments that took place in Artsakh yesterday.
Today, the state systems in Armenia and Artsakh are paralyzed, and through their inaction and obstruction of the military's responsibilities, they prevent the armed forces from performing their direct functions to protect the borders of Armenia and Artsakh and the peace-loving population.
The questionable indifference of today’s political authority in Armenia, and in some cases, a deliberate approach, does not allow the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia to fulfill their duty to the Homeland.
We call on the leadership of the Armed Forces of the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh, in cooperation with the Russian peacekeeping forces, to make the necessary decisions to ensure the security of our country and people, as well as to prevent violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
We also expect the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to exert active efforts and fulfill their mission.
Dear compatriots, the removal of this government is the number one issue on the political and state agenda. The removal of Nikol Pashinyan is the main guarantee of our security and the only opportunity for the restoration of our dignity. Join the Homeland Salvation Movement,” the statement reads.
