Support to be Provided to Families of Missing Soldiers
The Armenian government has decided to provide support to the families of soldiers who have gone missing due to the war.
According to the decision, those considered missing will be based on information provided by the Ministry of Defense regarding the soldiers listed in their records. The process will be organized by the Fund for Compensation of Damages to Soldiers' Lives or Health, given that this fund will continue to compensate these individuals should they later become eligible under the law.
The support will be provided from the budget. Initially, a sum of 500 million drams has been allocated, and the budget will also reimburse the fund for payments made thereafter, based on the amounts paid out.
Mesrop Arakelyan, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, provided this information.
