Anna Naghdalyan on Recall of Our Ambassador from Kazakhstan
The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed a decree recalling Gagik Galachyan from his position as the Armenian Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Anna Naghdalyan, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, stated in an interview with ArmDaily.am that this should be viewed in the context of the normal rotation process occurring within the Foreign Ministry.
In response to the question regarding the reason for his recall and whether he will be replaced, Naghdalyan said, 'The appointment and recall of ambassadors occur by ministerial decree and as long as there is no decree, we do not provide any comments on this issue.'
It is noteworthy that Galachyan was appointed as ambassador on November 12, 2018, replacing Ara Sahakyan.
