Azerbaijan Today Says It Agrees to Nothing Other Than the Capitulation of Artsakh: Nikol Pashinyan
Our duty is to fight until the end, wholeheartedly and unwaveringly for our people, for the rights of our people—regardless of what happens, we must fight for the rights of our people. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a live broadcast on Facebook.
“Today, in terms of Azerbaijan's position and context, fighting for our people's rights primarily means taking up arms and dedicating oneself to the cause of defending the rights of our homeland. It is in the effective organization of this process that we will ultimately be able to reach an acceptable diplomatic solution for us. Because today, Azerbaijan is saying that it agrees to nothing other than the capitulation of Artsakh. Do you understand what that means?” he said.
According to Pashinyan, the issue is not just about Artsakh, but rather about our people, as there is no Armenia without Artsakh. “Therefore, defending the rights of the people of Artsakh means defending the rights of the Armenian people. And today, this first and foremost means taking up arms and fighting for those rights, until it is possible to reach any acceptable alternative through diplomatic means.
Moreover, I am speaking about the final resolution of the issue. In this context, I believe this process should be organized and carried out by our people's political leadership. I am also directing this call to all mayors, village heads, and leaders of all governmental and local self-governing bodies in our country, to take on leadership, to form volunteer groups that will carry out the task of defending the rights of the people, and these groups should be placed under the command of the Chief of Staff, and the moment of their formation should be considered equivalent to a military oath, meaning they must firmly stand in their positions and carry out the tasks assigned to them by the command,” he added.
