The Government Acknowledges Political Parties' Proposal, Says Prime Minister's Spokesperson

The Armenian government has acknowledged the proposal put forth by political parties and will issue a statement as necessary. This was stated by the Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan in an interview with Factor.am, responding to the demands of extra-parliamentary forces to urgently create a special state body for the operational management of defense and security issues.

Previously, 16 political parties in Armenia had issued a joint statement, requesting the government to take the following actions:

1. Urgently create a special state body for the operational management of defense and security issues, empowered to make decisions, plan, and coordinate operational actions.
2. Involve former and current presidents, prime ministers, defense and foreign ministers, and other individuals with military and political expertise to effectively organize the defense of the homeland.
