Again, Bonuses Will Be Awarded: Health Minister Addresses Employees of 'Nork Infectious'
Earlier, it was reported that employees of the 'Nork Infectious' hospital had addressed an open letter to the Prime Minister and the President of Armenia. In their open letter, the employees expressed their dissatisfaction, as none of the infectious disease staff were awarded during the ceremony dedicated to the Independence Day.
In an interview with ArmDaily.am, Health Minister's advisor Ashot Sargsyan stated that the staff of the infectious disease hospital might have acted a bit hastily: 'Many doctors were involved in the fight against COVID. Healthcare workers from different hospitals have participated. It is physically impossible to congratulate and award everyone onsite in one day. The Ministry of Health has presented quite a large list to the Prime Minister, and there will be additional awards in the coming days.'
The Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan also mentioned that she is not currently aware of a larger list being submitted from the ministry and that there will be another awarding ceremony: 'It would be more appropriate to address the Presidential Administration regarding this matter.'
