Russia Resumes Air Travel with Four More Countries

Russia is resuming flights with Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan starting today, with flights to South Korea set to resume from September 27. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Citizens of these countries, as well as those with residence permits, are allowed to enter Russia through air checkpoints. Meanwhile, Russians can freely travel to any of these nations.

Flights to the capitals of these countries will be conducted once a week, as stated in a government announcement. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia closed its borders and suspended international flights at the end of March.

Since August, it has been possible to fly from Russia to Turkey, the United Kingdom, Tanzania, Switzerland, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the Maldives.
