Five New Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed in Artsakh Today
According to information provided by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, five new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the republic. The virus was identified during examinations at healthcare facilities for residents of the Sarushen community in the Askeran region and Stepanakert.
Efforts are underway to detect the outbreak source and clarify the contacts of the infected individuals. The other three infected individuals are from Stepanakert and are contacts of previously confirmed cases; they have been under isolation.
A total of four citizens have recovered from the virus. To date, the novel coronavirus has been confirmed in 333 individuals, with 287 having overcome the illness. Currently, 44 individuals are receiving treatment, and a total of 77 citizens remain isolated. A total of 76 samples have been taken for testing. So far, 12,756 samples have been tested.
