Tragic Car Accident in Syunik Province: One Dead, One Injured

On September 11, a tragic car accident occurred in Syunik province. According to Shamshyan.com, around 01:25, a 27-year-old resident of Syunik, Arthur S., driving a Toyota Camry with license plate 72 AS 722, veered off the road at the 292.5 km mark of the Yerevan-Meghri highway under still unknown circumstances, and collided with a metal barrier.

As a result of the accident, driver Arthur S. died at the scene, while a passenger, 26-year-old Meruzh M., also from Syunik province, was transported with injuries to Kapan Medical Center. The injured passenger was rescued from the vehicle by firefighters. Arriving medical personnel confirmed the death at the scene, and the investigation is being conducted by the Syunik regional investigative department.
