How Many People Can Attend Funerals, Birthdays, and Weddings During Quarantine
In the Republic of Armenia, as previously reported, a quarantine was imposed from September 11, 2020, to January 11, 2021. According to this decision, public events are only allowed under the following restrictions:
- Celebratory and commemorative events, including birthday (anniversary), wedding (engagement) ceremonies, funeral services, and burials, are permitted with the participation of no more than 60 individuals.
- Other events aimed at satisfying social, cultural, educational, sports, or other recreational needs (including concerts, exhibitions, showcases, theatrical performances, and other educational events), which do not constitute economic activities, are also limited to no more than 60 participants.
- Public events in enclosed spaces must comply with the requirements stated in points 1 and 2, as well as ensure the presence of natural or mechanical ventilation and adherence to sanitary and epidemiological safety regulations.
Monitoring of the application of these restrictions will be carried out by the Police of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Health and Labor Inspection and the Food Safety Inspection authorities.
