Customs Committee Proposes Joint Solutions to Apparel and Footwear Importers
The State Revenue Committee informs that today, in front of the Government building, discussions took place with citizens who were conducting a protest action. Just the day before, during a visit to a customs warehouse, the Deputy Chair of the SRC Shushanik Nersisyan and the head of the Ararat Customs Administration Karen Babayan met with these citizens.
During the meeting, the issues raised by economic operators were discussed, particularly concerns related to arising inconveniences in the processes and price policies.
The State Revenue Committee has proposed that citizens list all their issues and present suggestions regarding price policies for further joint discussions and collaborations.
As a result of the approximately 30-minute meeting, an agreement was reached that economic operators would compile all their issues, which would then be discussed in a working meeting involving the leadership of the Ararat Customs and the operators the following day. However, shortly after, the citizens announced that they were declining the working meeting and would instead prefer to continue their protest in front of the Government building.
The SRC once again urges economic operators to gather and consolidate all their issues and work together to find possible solutions.
