Dispute in Avan Ends with Stabbing

On September 7, a stabbing incident occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, at around 1:50 AM, the police received a notification from the number 1 university hospital that two individuals had been admitted with "stab wounds to the chest" and a "slice stab wound to the knee."

The wounded individuals were identified as 29-year-old Gor A. and 34-year-old Zaven S., both residents of the Avan administrative district. Doctors informed the police that they were unable to provide explanations about the incident.

While the medical staff fought to save the lives of the victims, which they succeeded in doing, the police investigated that the dispute had taken place at around 1:00 AM on the same day in a playground on 14th Street in Avan. The altercation involved Gor A., Zaven S., and 26-year-old Vrej M., a resident of the Avan administrative district. Vrej M. attacked them with a knife, causing the injuries mentioned.

As a result of the explanatory work conducted by the criminal investigation group of the Avan police department, Vrej M. voluntarily presented himself to the Avan police station, provided an explanation about the incident, and was subsequently released.

Materials are being prepared in the investigative division of the New Nork police station regarding the fact. A forensic examination has been appointed.
