Aparan Community Leader Charged

The investigation conducted by the Investigative Committee of Armenia in the Aragatsotn region has concluded regarding the alleged abuses committed by the leader of the consolidated community of Aparan.

Based on a sufficient combination of evidence obtained during the investigation, the community leader has been charged under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (illegal participation in entrepreneurial activity), Article 308, Part 1 (abuse of official authority) with 3 episodes, Article 314, Part 1 (official forgery) with 4 episodes, and Article 179, Part 2, Point 1 (embezzlement or misappropriation).

Today, on September 8, the criminal case has been sent to the Aragatsotn regional prosecutor's office with a request to approve the indictment and forward it to the court.
