Lydian Armenia Issues Statement

Lydian Armenia has announced that since September 1, there has been a change in the security service in the Amulsar area. Those engaging in illegal activities have displayed a suspicious interest solely regarding the changes in the security service, which is an internal matter for Lydian, spreading misinformation. We deem it necessary to clarify:

The contractual relationship of Lydian with the previous security service, Special Security Service, expired in September, and the fact that a new security service began monitoring the area from September 1 makes it abundantly clear that the planned change in the security service is due to the termination of the contract and not any other circumstances.

Secondly, contrary to absurd insinuations, according to the conclusion of the relevant authority, the previous security service's operations were partially suspended due to certain employees lacking valid individual certificates. The security company was given time to rectify the documentation issue. No other legal problems have been pointed out regarding the previous security service's activities in Amulsar.

Finally, irrespective of these circumstances, Lydian Armenia, as planned, has engaged a new security company. This and any subsequent security company will be no less diligent and, if necessary, even more vigilant in utilizing all legally permitted means to ensure the safety of the Amulsar area and the local community members working there, as well as to prevent any incursions and provocations by illegal groups.

Lydian continues to believe that the police are not adequately fulfilling their duty to protect the rights and interests of the community members, demonstrating strange consistency in the case of a few security credentials while neglecting the ongoing violations of law and the rights of thousands of residents in the area for two years.
