Resident of Lori Province Went to Pick Mulberries and Has Not Returned

On August 19, 2020, a report was received from the administrative leader of the village of Shamlugh in the Lori Province regarding the disappearance of Hranush Sarikyan, a resident of house number 2 on the 4th alley of 4th street in the Bugakar neighborhood. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

According to preliminary data, Hranush Sarikyan went to pick mulberries in the nearby forest around 1:00 PM on August 17, 2020, and has not returned since.

A criminal case has been initiated at the Tumanyan division of the Armenian Police under Article 104, Part 1 (murder) of the Criminal Code of Armenia, which has been forwarded to the Tumanyan investigative division of the Lori regional investigative administration of the Investigative Committee, and it has been accepted for proceedings.

Investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the incident. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
