Armenia and Azerbaijan Interested in Conflict Resolution, Says Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced during a meeting with students and faculty of the MGIMO University that Armenia and Azerbaijan are interested in resolving their conflict. This information was reported by TASS.
Lavrov also mentioned that he spoke the day before with the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, regarding the issue.
“We have the impression that both sides are interested in calming the situation so that meetings can resume, organized by the representatives of the co-chairs (i.e., the OSCE Minsk Group) in the region,” Lavrov stated.
