Is Our Soldier Abducted? We Still Need to Clarify, Davit Tonoyan
Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan, during a conversation with journalists in parliament, addressed the case of Armenian serviceman Gurgen Alaverdyan, who has found himself in Azerbaijan. He stated that as a result of the service investigation, it will become clear how this happened.
“Our preliminary assessment is that our serviceman got lost and ended up on the enemy's side. Whether our serviceman was abducted or if there were other circumstances, we still need to clarify. Depending on that, we will work in various formats in different international organizations,” said Tonoyan.
The Minister of Defense also mentioned that at this time, the Armenian side's demand is for the representative of the International Red Cross in Azerbaijan to visit the Armenian serviceman.
