Identity of Victims and Injured in Shirak Accident Revealed: New Details from the Ministry of Emergency Situations

On August 23, at 17:47, a call was received by the Regional Crisis Management Center reporting that an accident had occurred on the Gyumri-Ashotsk highway, with casualties.

A firefighting rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Shirak Province was dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that a vehicle had left the roadway and overturned down a ravine, resulting in fatalities and injuries.

The incident took place at the 1st km of the Pokrashen-Ashotsk highway, where a "Volkswagen Golf" vehicle veered off the road and flipped over about 50 meters down the slope. The driver, Levon H. (born 1995), and passenger Tereza D. (born 1998) died on the spot.

Passengers Hegine H. (born 1972),armen H. (born 1995), Nvard D. (born 1974), and Varditer H. (born 1992) were transported to the Gyumri Medical Center, where doctors assessed Hegine H.'s condition as moderate, while the others were deemed satisfactory.

Rescuers disconnected the vehicle from power and brought the bodies closer to the ambulance.
