Employees of the Maralik Medical Facility at Shirak Regional Administration Meeting with Deputy Governor
Employees of the Maralik Maternity Hospital, who have not received their salaries for seven months, are currently at the Shirak Regional Administration. They are meeting with the Deputy Governor and an economist to seek a solution to their issue.
In a conversation with reporters, Leyli Aslanyan, the acting head of the Shirak Regional Administration's Health and Social Security Department, stated that the resolution of the issue does not rest with the Regional Administration. “We are raising the issue, but the relevant authorities are the ones who must provide a solution. Our last letter to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure was sent on August 4, and we have not yet received a response. The key to solving this problem is not in our hands,” she said.
She noted that they have also invited the economist for this discussion. “We want to discuss the financial and economic situation in the medical facility and will once again appeal to the relevant authorities. The Government is responsible for policy-making in the health sector through the Ministry of Health, while we are the ones implementing those policies.”
