Emergency Incident: Maternity Hospital Ambulance Collides with Cow, Doctor, Nurse, and Newborn Transported to Hospital
On August 21, an emergency incident occurred in the Ararat Province. Around 7:40 PM, an ambulance belonging to the "Muratsan" maternity hospital collided with a cow on the 38th km of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway while heading towards Yerevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, the ambulance doctor, nurse, and the newborn were transferred to the hospital via another ambulance, while the cow died at the scene.
The police are investigating the identities of the driver, the injured, and the owner of the cow. According to the source, the road lacked external lighting, and the metal barriers were missing light beacons. The cow's owner stated, "I take my cow 'Zazo' through this section every day because it's allowed; there are special signs indicating that large cattle can be transported through this area. I blame the relevant authorities for my cow's death, as they have not taken measures to secure the area with external lighting and light beacons."
