Condition of 6-Year-Old Boy Beaten by Grandfather is Critical, Life in Danger
In the Tavush region, five grandchildren of a 58-year-old man, who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of beating his two grandchildren, have also been transferred to Yerevan's Muratsan Medical Center with suspected acute exogenous poisoning. This was reported by Gevorg Derzdyan, spokesperson for the St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center, on his Facebook page.
Derzdyan added that the two children in critical condition continue to remain at the St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center. One of the little ones is 4 years old and has some level of consciousness; he is suffering from cranial hemorrhage and is in the intensive care unit. The condition of the 6-year-old boy remains extremely critical, with multiple injuries including damage to the brain and kidneys, and fractures of the body's extremities. He is unconscious and on a ventilator. The child's life is in danger.
It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that five other grandchildren of the 58-year-old man had been transferred to Muratsan Medical Center with symptoms of poisoning.
