Maximum of 12-Person Groups, Contactless Learning Process: How Kindergartens Will Operate
The Education Inspection Body of Armenia informs that according to the decision No. 253-N of the RA Prime Minister on August 18, 2020, the "Regulations for the Operation of Preschool Educational Institutions in the Context of the New Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)" has been established as Annex No. 11.
Compared to the rules set by the Prime Minister’s decision No. 63 on May 3, 2020, entitled "Safety Rules for Organizations in the Field of Preschool Education for the Purpose of Preventing the Spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)," some changes and additions have been made.
The director will appoint a person responsible for monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, who may be the institution's nurse by virtue of their position.
The organization of care and education for children in preschool institutions is now set for a maximum of 12-person groups instead of the previously established 10-12 person groups.
The requirements stating that “the entry of accompanying persons into preschool educational institutions is prohibited” and “the use of toys between children of different groups (classrooms) is prohibited” have been removed.
The percentage of alcohol content in disinfectants is now set to be at least 70%, instead of the previous 60-80%.
Requirements have been set for organizing physical education and gymnastic activities outdoors, and if this is not possible, in a well-ventilated space with sufficient area, ensuring a contactless learning process as much as possible.
