Collision in Yerevan Involves Volkswagen Jetta and Mini Cooper, Injuries Reported
A serious traffic accident occurred in Yerevan today, August 17. Around 8:30 PM on Tamantsiner Street, in front of the Yerevan State Technological College, vehicles from the Mini Cooper and Volkswagen Jetta brands collided.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, two individuals with bodily injuries were transported to the ‘Erebuni’ Medical Center. One of the injured was taken to the hospital by a citizen using their personal vehicle, while the other was transported by a duty group of Yerevan’s 1-03 ambulance service.
As a result of the collision, the Mini Cooper veered off the traffic lane, struck an electricity pole, broke an external lighting device, and then continued moving forward before crashing into the wall of the college.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incident by J. Margaryan. The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured parties.
