Residents Block Interstate Road in Alaverdi's Engels Neighborhood

Residents in the Engels neighborhood of Alaverdi blocked the interstate road today.

This was reported by Aren Mkrtchyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "My Step" faction, in a Facebook post. He wrote: "The citizens wanted to know the timeline regarding the asphalt paving of the M6 interstate road in Alaverdi, which is currently under renovation. Another demand was for regular operation of water tanker trucks, as the rising dust is causing discomfort for the residents.

After speaking with Minister Suren Papikyan, I met with the citizens in the Engels neighborhood. I provided them with a clear timeline regarding the paving, and instructions will be given for the intensive operation of the water tanker trucks. The interstate road is open. Dear friends, people, together with the minister, we will do everything possible to fundamentally resolve the issue in a short timeframe."
