Major Accident in Ararat Region: One Injured
On August 12, a major and chain-reaction car accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 10:30 PM, on the 35 km segment of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, within the administrative territory of the village of Taperakan, vehicles collided involving:
- 30-year-old Lyudvig Hakobyan from the city of Yeghegnadzor driving a "ZIL MMZ 45021"
- 27-year-old Sargis Aghajanyan from the village of Aigavan driving an Opel Astra
- 40-year-old Vahagn Hakobyan from Yerevan driving a BMW 318
- 28-year-old Gevorg Iskandaryan from Ararat region driving a Renault Kangoo
- 43-year-old Hovhannes Yeghoyan from the village of Getap driving a "ZIL MMZ 4509"
This was reported by Shamshyan.com. As a result of the accident, V. Hakobyan's passenger, 42-year-old K. Avagyan from Vayots Dzor region, sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the "Erebuni" medical center. Due to the collision, watermelons loaded in one of the vehicles spilled completely, blocking the road.
