32-Year-Old Driver Goes Off Road and Crashes into Pole in Yerevan
On August 9, at 00:34, the National Center for Crisis Management received information about a traffic accident near house number 45/25 on Peace Don Street in Yerevan, with a fuel leak present. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
Two firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that an 'Opel Zafira' vehicle (driver: Garnik M., born in 1988) had gone off the roadway and crashed into a pole, subsequently hitting a nearby fence and a tree; however, there was no fuel leak.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver had been hospitalized at 'Erebuni' Medical Center, where he refused medical assistance. Rescuers have disconnected the vehicle's power supply.
