Iraq's Kurdistan Temporarily Closes Border Crossing with Turkey
The regional government of Iraq's northern Kurdish autonomous region has decided to temporarily close the Ibrahim Halil border crossing with Turkey for one week.
The decision to restrict the movement of citizens in both directions comes in response to a significant increase in coronavirus cases in the Kurdistan region in recent days. A statement released by the Ministry of Interior of the autonomous region indicated that the crossing will remain open for cargo transport.
