Famous Archaeologist Grigor Areshyan Dies from Coronavirus
Grigor Areshyan, a former Prime Minister of Armenia and renowned archaeologist, has died from coronavirus in Yerevan. This was reported to NEWS.am by his niece, Tamara Areshyan.
It should be noted that Professor Areshyan made significant contributions to Armenian studies, archaeology, and history. He led various archaeological excavations, including those of the Areni-1 cave in the Vayots Dzor region, where the now-famous 5500-year-old shoe was discovered.
