Head of Body Found in Nor Geghi Missing, Investigation Committee Provides Details

On July 28, 2020, at 15:10, a resident of Kotayk province reported the presence of a body near the apple orchards in Nor Geghi. This was stated by the Investigation Committee.

Immediately, an investigative-operational group was dispatched to the scene, and during the examination, a male body was discovered in a state of decomposition, found within a pipe adjacent to the side of the Nor Geghi-Yegvard highway, leading from the roadside to the orchards.

Upon external examination of the body, it was revealed that the head was missing.

In connection with the incident, the Kotayk Regional Investigation Department of the Republic of Armenia's Investigation Committee has initiated preparatory materials, designating an autopsy and collecting samples for a forensic genetic examination. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased man and establish the cause of death.
