The Armenian Community in Switzerland Holds Protest in Front of the UN Office in Geneva
On July 28, a large protest took place in front of the United Nations office in Geneva against recent military actions launched by Azerbaijan against Armenia.
The demonstration, organized by several Armenian community organizations, aimed to draw the attention of Swiss society and the international community through the UN to the shelling of Armenia's civilian population and infrastructure by Azerbaijan, as well as to manifestations of anti-Armenian hatred and intolerance, including actions by Turkey that exacerbate regional tensions.
The main slogans demanded an end to aggression against Armenia, condemnation of the destructive actions of Azerbaijan and Turkey, and the establishment of a peaceful and secure environment.
