Accident on Alaverdi-Bagratashen Road: Casualties Reported

On July 24, at 01:04, the National Center for Crisis Management received information about a traffic accident near the village of Nekhots, with reported injuries. A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Lori Regional Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that at the 14th km of the Alaverdi-Bagratashen road, an Opel vehicle (driver's details have not been clarified) collided with a parked GAZ-52 truck. Before rescuers arrived at the scene, passengers from the Opel vehicle, Hrant G. (born in 1992), Vardan (born in 1997), and Mkhitar T. (born in 1998), were extracted from the car by local authorities and hospitalized at Alaverdi Medical Center. Medical professionals assessed Vardan T.’s condition as severe, while Hrant G. and Mkhitar T. were classified as moderately injured.

Rescuers disconnected the vehicle's battery and closed the gas cylinder valve.
