M2 Interstate Road Renovation Works Have Started
Renovation works have begun on a 5 km stretch of the M2 interstate road, near the village of Shurnukh in the Syunik region, specifically at km 265+000 to km 270+000 of the Yerevan-Eraskh-Goris-Meghri-Armenian-Iranian border route.
The contractor organization, Aparrash LLC, will carry out earthworks, installation of gabions, drainage systems, safety elements (C1 type signal posts and barriers), as well as laying a double-layer asphalt concrete surface and signage as part of the renovation.
The renovation began in June, and the completion of the works is scheduled within 180 days as per the contract.
A budget of 615 million AMD has been allocated from the State Budget of Armenia for this project.
