Businessman and Owner of 'Noyan Tapan' Bookstore Killed in the US
Today in the United States, businessman Armen Sahakyan, who recently settled in Los Angeles, was shot dead in his home. Sahakyan, a former owner of the 'Marco Polo' cafe in Yerevan, was attacked by two Mexican mercenaries, according to freenews.am.
Sahakyan was also the owner of the 'Noyan Tapan' bookstore. Reports indicate that he managed to shoot and kill one of the assailants, while the second managed to shoot and kill the businessman and severely injure his wife before fleeing the scene.
“At the moment, Sahakyan's wife is in the hospital, and doctors are trying to save her life. There are rumors circulating in the Armenian community that Sahakyan was killed on the orders of some local Armenians,” the media outlet reported. The site also notes that the businessman had three minor children.
