Azerbaijan Started This Fight on Their Own, Suffered Major Losses and Were Humiliated - General Balayan
Daniel Balayan, head of the Marshal Armenak Khanperyants Military Aviation University, states that Armenia and Artsakh are well-equipped with drones in all directions.
“We ensure coverage in all directions, we have the necessary technology, calculations, and for the fifth year, there have been appropriate calculations; both the technology is being upgraded and the specialists are being trained,” Balayan said at a press conference today.
The downing of one of the UAVs in Tavush was thanks to one of the university's graduates from last year, General Balayan notes. “The ‘Elbit Hermes 900’ that was shot down in Ijevan was by a calculation from our university’s last year’s graduate, he is the one who shot it down,” the head of the university stated.
When asked whether the soldier has been awarded for this action, Balayan responded, “You know, we don’t award immediately in the battlefield; later there will be an analysis, everyone will receive their due, but we are not fighting for medals; the greatest reward is that the Azerbaijani does not come to our land. In short, when I analyzed all this, this fight was started by Azerbaijan and they suffered major losses and were humiliated, receiving appropriate punishment as well,” concluded Major General Balayan.
He emphasized that all units are ready. “Now we have all means, meaning if they try to strike suddenly, or attempt to attack, they will not succeed,” the university head stated.
When asked what measures are being taken to ensure that the enemy cannot use UAVs so freely, Balayan replied, “The next step will be more difficult for them. You know, overall, there is a bilateral competition; you create something, the opponent tries to counteract it, the opponent creates something, you think about how to counteract them. This means that after every action, appropriate conclusions are drawn, we do not stand still.”
