The Armenian Community in Georgia Holds a Support Rally in Front of the Armenian Embassy
Members of the Youth-Student Union of the Armenian Community in Georgia organized a rally in front of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia, showing solidarity with their homeland and opposing the repeated Azerbaijani provocations in the northeastern section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, particularly in Tavush, since July 12.
The youth and student union members, led by Arthur Mirzoyan, voiced their condemnation of Azerbaijani provocations both along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and within Georgia through chants and appeals in various languages.
Vrej Harutyunyan, a member of the student union of the Armenian Community in Georgia, delivered a message on behalf of the organizers, stating, "Today, we, the members of the Youth and Student Union of the Armenian Community in Georgia, have come here to express our support for our compatriots, considering the current situation in the country and while complying with the restrictions. Remaining true to the official appeal of the Armenian community in Georgia to refrain from provocations, we demonstrate a high sense of civic responsibility.
"We would like to remind that since the beginning of the escalation, we anticipated future provocative actions from various groups operated by Azerbaijan, and we had disseminated a statement urging the citizens of Georgia to refrain from responding to provocations. Today, we are here to support our compatriots. Once again, we call on the citizens of Georgia, regardless of their nationality, to refrain from responding to any type of provocations, as well as from participating in or organizing them."
Representatives from the Armenian Embassy in Georgia expressed their gratitude to the organizers and attendees for supporting their homeland during these difficult days and condemning Azerbaijan's attempts to involve Georgia in provocations, as reported by yerkir.am.
