The Sale of Weapons to Azerbaijan Has a Fatal Nature, Says Foreign Ministry
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia is keeping the issue of weapon sales to Azerbaijan under close scrutiny. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, during a press briefing on July 18.
In response to a question about whether the fact that Azerbaijan is using Israeli-produced attack drones against the peaceful population of Armenia will affect Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, Naghdalyan emphasized that the Armenian side views this issue more broadly.
“The issue of selling weapons to Azerbaijan and the arms race is raised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during bilateral meetings and in international forums. We believe that the sale of weapons to Azerbaijan has a fatal nature. Azerbaijan will swiftly use these weapons against the peaceful population. The events following July 12 confirm our words with facts. We will remain consistent on this issue,” noted Anna Naghdalyan.
