‘I Am Here’. Discharged Narek Denies Report of His Death Spread by Azerbaijani Media
On July 13, 20-year-old Narek Petrosyan, discharged from one of the military units in Tavush, was shocked to hear about the news of his death circulating in Azerbaijani media. In an interview with NEWS.am, Narek explained that he heard from acquaintances that reports of his death had appeared in Azerbaijani media.
“I was very surprised when one of my friends told me that Azerbaijanis reported that I had passed away. I don’t know where they got my Facebook, Instagram, and ID card number to publish such news. With this move, they want to give their people hope that there are also deaths in our forces; perhaps they want to soften the impact of the casualties on their side, including high-ranking military personnel,” he said.
Narek regrets that he was discharged and did not manage to participate in military operations, adding that the combat spirit and readiness of our soldiers are very high, and he is confident that our armed forces will deliver a worthy response to the adversary.
The report about Narek was disseminated by the website haqqin.az. For more details, visit the original source.
