Anomalously High Thermal Background Expected
On July 19-20, anomalously high thermal conditions are expected in the regions of Ararat and Armavir, the foothills of Aragats, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan. During the daytime, temperatures are projected to reach +38 to +40 degrees Celsius. These days, high fire danger levels are also anticipated in the valley and foothill areas of the republic.
It is advisable to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is expected to be above normal.
Across the republic, on July 15 during the day, and on 16-18 in some regions, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected after midday, with wind gusts of 20-25 m/s during thunderstorms. Hail is also anticipated in certain areas. From July 19-20, dry weather is expected.
The wind will be south-western at 3-8 m/s. The air temperature is gradually expected to rise by 5-7 degrees from July 18-20.
