Kindergarten Activities Suspended in Shengavit by Order of the Chief of Emergency Situations
The Armenian Ministry of Education has been conducting intensified inspections of preschool educational institutions for about two months, transferring all information regarding recorded violations to the Emergency Situations Headquarters. Based on ongoing monitoring in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan, the inspectors proposed to temporarily suspend the activities of kindergarten number 134 in the mentioned district due to certain discrepancies with the norms established by the Chief of Emergency Situations.
As a result, by the decision number 190-A of the Chief of Emergency Situations dated July 13, 2020, the activities of kindergarten number 134 in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan have been suspended for five days. Under the leadership of Alexander Shaghafyan, officials from the Ministry of Education have today carried out strengthened supervision in preschool institutions in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of the capital.
The inspectors are strictly monitoring adherence to anti-epidemic rules in kindergartens. It is emphasized that social distancing must be maintained among children during group sessions, naptime, and meal times, as well as compliance with set rules regarding the tableware and utensils used.
As a result of the ongoing monitoring, violations have significantly decreased. Children's daily activities are organized in outdoor areas, with anti-epidemic rules primarily being adhered to. Inspections conducted by the Ministry of Education are ongoing, and all information regarding these inspections is submitted to the Emergency Situations Headquarters.
