5.0-6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Registered in Georgia; Tremors Felt in Alaverdi, Noyemberyan, and Koghb
On July 12, at 09:54 local time (05:54 GMT), a 4.2 magnitude earthquake was registered by the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Georgia, 21 km southeast of Bakuriani at geographic coordinates of 41.74⁰ north latitude and 43.73⁰ east longitude, with a depth of 10 km. This information was reported by the Ministry's Information and Public Relations Department.
The intensity of the tremors in the epicentral zone was recorded at 5-6 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt with an intensity of 2-3 in Noyemberyan, 2 in Alaverdi, and 2 in the village of Koghb.
