Director Shoots 53-Year-Old Man in the Eye; Criminal Case Initiated
On June 20, 2020, at approximately 8:30 PM, a 53-year-old resident of Yerevan reported that on the same day, around 6:00 PM, during a dispute over financial matters at a financial company located on Baghramyan Avenue, the director of the company physically assaulted him and shot him in the left eye with a gun, causing bodily injury.
This information has been reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
During the preliminary investigation, the director of the company voluntarily appeared at the Arabkir police department and submitted the gas pistol used in the incident.
According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination, the 53-year-old man sustained serious harm to his health, considering the loss of organ function.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Armenian police based on Article 112 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (causing serious bodily harm deliberately), and the preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Arabkir Investigation Department of the Yerevan Investigation Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
The 53-year-old man has been recognized as the victim and has provided testimony. As a precautionary measure, a signature not to leave has been chosen for the company director. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
