Young Man Enters Police Station, Issues Sexual Insults and Stabs Officer
On July 7, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Gegharkunik province. At around 21:20, 28-year-old Artak Manukyan from the village of Tsovak entered the Vardenis police station and hurled sexual insults at the police.
According to shamshyan.com, the duty officer invited him outside, but near the entrance, Manukyan continued to shout and insult while also hitting the entrance door with his fists. Seeing that he persisted in this manner, 31-year-old Hakob Dalaryan, a police officer from the Gegharkunik regional department who was on duty at the station, approached Manukyan by opening the door to call him over in an attempt to calm him down. However, Manukyan attacked Dalaryan with a knife he had on him, stabbing him in the left thigh and chest, resulting in injuries.
The police officer received medical assistance and was transported to the Vardenis medical center, while Manukyan was apprehended by the police.
