Ijavan Police Discover Truck Loaded with 8 Cubic Meters of Illegal Timber

On July 2, around 20:30, officers from the Ijavan division of the police inspected a truck loaded with 8 cubic meters of timber belonging to a 32-year-old resident of the village of Achajur. This inspection was conducted as part of efforts to identify and prevent environmental violations, as reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

The driver of the truck did not present any documentation proving the legality of the firewood and claimed that the timber was purchased from the territory of the 'Sevkhar' forest enterprise.

The truck loaded with wood has been moved to a secured area of the Ijavan police division. A specialized examination has been scheduled. The circumstances of the case are under investigation, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
