Former Head and Deputy of Davitashen Police Department Released on Bail
On July 7, former head of the Davitashen Police Department, Mkrtich Varosyan, and his deputy, Arayik Ghazaryan, have been released on bail. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
It is noteworthy that a criminal case was initiated by the Investigative Department of the National Security Service on charges outlined in the third part of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia against officials of the Davitashen Police Department.
According to the materials of the criminal case, charges were brought against Mkrtich Varosyan, 41, the head of the Davitashen Police Department, Arayik Ghazaryan, 32, the deputy head, and Hakob Hakobyan, 38, the senior investigator of the same department. They were accused of exceeding their official powers and inciting Edgar G. to commit a series of thefts.
