Yegheg Hydro Power Plant Causes 3.8 Million Dram Damage to the Environment
Employees of the territorial division of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body in Vayots Dzor conducted inspections at the "Yegheg" hydro power plant, owned by "Yegheg HPP" LLC. It was revealed that the company exceeded the water intake limits specified in its water usage permit, violating Article 37 of the RA Water Code. This was reported by the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body.
The damage caused to the environment has been calculated to be 3,813,821 AMD.
An administrative proceeding has been initiated.
