Earthquake Near Marmarashen Village: Epicenter's Tremor Intensity Was 2-3 on the Scale
On July 6, at 06:17 local time (05:31 GMT), an earthquake was recorded by the seismic protection territorial service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations at geographical coordinates of 40.03° north latitude and 44.53° east longitude, 6 km southeast of Marmarashen village in the Ararat region of Armenia, at a depth of 10 km with a magnitude of 2.2. This information was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The seismic intensity in the epicenter zone reached 2-3 on the scale. The earthquake was felt in Dvin, Marmarashen, and Vostan villages with an intensity of 2 on the scale.
