Rescue Teams Fail to Locate Citizen Who Went Fishing in Sevan
On July 3, at 10:16 AM, the special aquatic rescue team of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations departed for the area adjacent to the "Arevik" recreation zone in Sevan city to resume the search operations for the missing citizen. The search was suspended at 6:37 PM; the citizen has not been found.
It is worth recalling that on June 26, at 1:04 PM, the National Crisis Management Center was informed that around 6:00 AM, a citizen (Kolya P., born in 1971) had entered the lake in a boat for fishing near the "Arevik" recreation area in Sevan city and had not returned. Daily underwater search operations conducted by the special aquatic rescue team from June 26 to July 2 ended without results.
